B2B portal for orders, documents and forecasts
The client
A pharmaceutical company with a distributed network of business customers. The sales team and customer service handled order communications, document delivery and forecast collection by hand - slow, and error-prone.
The context
The operating model relied on email, phone calls and spreadsheets to manage the order cycle. There was no unified digital channel: customers had no real-time visibility on order status and had to contact support for every update. Forecasts were collected manually and needed extra steps before they could be loaded into the ERP.
The objective
Remove the repetitive manual work, give customers autonomy and integrate everything with the company ERP - without duplicating data or requiring constant maintenance.
- No self-service channel for customers: every piece of information went through customer service.
- Manual forecast handling: collected by email, transcribed by hand, with a high margin of error.
- Order status updates shared on request, never proactively.
- No structured document repository accessible to customers.
The solution
We designed and built a B2B portal integrated directly with the company ERP via API, built around the full order cycle: from browsing the catalogue and documents, to placing orders, to managing forecasts - right up to the automatic generation of orders from confirmed forecasts. A proactive notification system keeps the customer informed in real time of every relevant event; the internal admin area allows full management of users, orders and forecasts with no technical work.
- B2B portal with a customer area: order history, document repository, order and forecast entry.
- Forecast-to-order mechanism: the system automatically proposes the order from the uploaded forecasts.
- Proactive notification system covering every relevant event in the order cycle.
- Admin area to manage users, orders and content - with no technical work.
- Direct, real-time integration with SAP Business One.
